How many sessions will I need?
This is a very individualized question as everyone’s central nervous system is unique. In fact, the brain is 10,000 times more unique than a finger print! As a result, it is difficult to predict the exact number of sessions you will need but we can provide a few guidelines.
First of all, we have something called the “Six Session Rule.” The Six Session Rule states that you will likely experience something shift within six sessions. Early on, clients report feeling more rested, an improved outlook, and more calm.
Overall, each individual is different in their presenting concerns and in the amount of change they hope to accomplish. Therefore, the number of sessions needed before obvious results appear to vary from person to person. However, noticeable results can occur within 15-20 sessions. Accordingly, we recommend a minimum of 15-20 sessions to start.
Also, some individuals have reached their goals in 15-20 sessions whereas others may need 30, 40, or even 50 sessions before all of their desired results are achieved. The goal is to complete enough training- enough learning- to ensure consistent and lasting benefits.
In the end, the more sessions you do, the more the positive effects will stay with you (again, it is a bit like going to the gym). The more sessions you undergo, the better your brain fitness! You can stop whenever you like and return for booster sessions to tune up as you see fit. You will not lose what you have gained.
Many clients continue brain training on a monthly or bi-monthly basis as a lifetime practice.
